Disclaimer: I don't normally do any bottle digging, I just happened upon a coke bottle that was fully intact so I decided to dig it up.

I am guessing the 71 (C) 51 means it was made in 1951

Thanks for looking

Nice one - I always pick up those kind also - I think the non-paint type are pre-1960.

That's nice one! I have found three, but keep looking for one with the city of manufacture on it.

I like that style but leave the D patent ones underwater. I save the earlier ones. Christmas Coke's pat Dec 25 1923 and the ones patent in 1917 in which I had a nice one but my daughters kind of smashed it.

If I saved them all I would have a house full of the critters. So I am picky!

I can't leave any behind no matter how hard I try. Today's river walk. 2 hours

Me also. I'll grab all older 6.5 oz. Cokes (except the 60's ACLs with bad paint and the modern day facsimile bottles; nobody collects those). It's a mistake to leave behind D-Pat Cokes because people will buy those - I get $5 and up for those. Local wartime and 50's Cokes especially sell good.
