I have a Garrett grand master hunter cx 2 , purchased in the early 90's if I remember right it was around $500 . In it's day a good detector , would be a decent beginner or backup detector for the right price . Check Garrett's web site may find more information there under owners manuals .

Looks like the plastic guage needs a polish but worth the asking...100 even better. I was just looking for an extra detector and if I would have seen it on my CL I would have bought it. The only drwback is not having a armcuff, they get a little heavy but are a very capable detector, similar in performance to a whites 5900/6000 Di models.
By the way I think this model had the bell tones and voice commands, Nothing like a detector telling you what to do.
