Gang - I’m looking for a good pointer, and I came across several internet sites that list the Garrett AT Pro new for $30!! Can this be real? Also - for the occasional hunter, what pointer do you suggest? Thanks!!!

No they show pics of the Garrett propointer at but it’s actually a gp pointer, less sensitivity and not waterproof. Also they don’t last as long. And not Garrett.

It is probably the low quality GP pointer. I have one and it works but it isn't great and cost less than $30.

The other option is it is a complete scam. Over the past year I have seem a number of websites popup selling things for ridiculously low prices. Then they vanish.

Good luck!

I bought one of the cheap $30 Garrett AT-Pinpointer's for my Grandson. It was almost identical to my AT-Carrot, even came in a Garrett box. It works ok for him, but is in no way comparable to the AT-Carrot. The only visible difference is the lanyard ring and the rubber seal is in a different location on the battery cover.
