Travel with XP Deus

Hi, leaving for st criox us virgin islands this weekend and planning on taking my deus.

anybody traveled in the us with a metal detector and specifically a deus, is there any tips or things I should know?

was going to pack the stem and headphones in my check bag and bring the coil and hand unit in my carry on.

I did read someone suggesting that I put black tape over the blinking light on the coil.

any knowledge you can share would be appreciated.

Let us know how it goes. I will be travelling with a deus in November. Going to Germany via the Air Force and not sure if I should bring it with me or have it packed in my household goods.

Make sure you take your gear for charging,,,to include any adapters for charging since it is a foreign country.

I bring my Deus out to the US with no problems.

I pack the controller in one carry on and the headphones in the other carry on bag.

I separate the coil from the handle, coil in one hold bag and the handle in the other hold bag.

This way I reduce the risk of losing the whole machine in one go?

Handy tip, take two charging clips and two coil bolts.
