Went out 9-10 this morning to a spot I have detected many times. Nothing real special found. It's highly mineralized soil and really hard to hunt but it keeps on giving you just have to work harder. 1 hour of detecting, 2 Buffaloes ( 1937 and no date) and 2 wheaties. I seem to be finding a lot of buffalo nickels lately.

What ?? A PA east coast post with NO large cent or colonial copper ? Only a buffalo ? Tsk tsk you guys are slippin' ! :sissyfight: (just kidding, congrats on the buffalo )

Nice score! The 1927 nickel is sweet, although I especially like the patina on the dateless one. Wheat cents are fun to uncover, too.

Congrats on the Buffs and wheats Steve. Nice short but sweet hunt. A Buff is only behind a silver and Ihp as far as my favorite dig. I have a 1920 in a bezel I wear whenever I hunt. Dug it in a city park in 2019. Seems to bring me luck. Good luck, Mark
