Found this yesterday and was wondering how old it could be. I found this very near a revolutionary era fort, but on a ballfield at a 1940s school.

EDIT: looks like it's WWII era. If anyone has any more info, please comment.
thanks.

In trying to find that particular backmark, I am using Tice's book. Apparently that particular backmark was used from the civil war thru the 20th Century. Since the button came into being in 1902, that lets out the civil war. Best I can come up with.

It is a Great Seal Eagle coat button.....used for quite a period of time....WWII would be quite possible maybe a bit earlier or a tad later. Definitely 20th century as was previously stated.

Thanks! I really don't think it's really old as it's in great shape.
