I store some spare AA's and a 9 volt in the car. I just use the cheap, small plastic tackle boxes from the sporting goods at WallyWorld. Usually about 2 bucks.
I simply use a sandwich baggie which seals. Wrap them so the terminals can't touch.
If you want to maintain freshness even longer. throw in a bag of silica gel.
That is all you need. they will last for years if they are kept dry. Nothing fancy is really needed.
Buy a two pack at the store and don't open it till needed. I am assuming you use two at a time. You can cut the excess paper off around the plastic bubble
I found this 35mm film container at an estate sale and thought batteries might fit in there. Worked out perfect.
Can fit 3 9v on one end and 4 AA in the other.
