Hey All, I found this piece in a location where I have found a lot of early 1800s items. It appears to be a hollowed out nipple, rather crudely, and made threaded on one end. The item is heavy brass, 2 1/2” long, about 3/8” on nipple diameter, 1/2” on threaded end diameter. I have found some items online that look similar, but not exact. Any help is appreciated.

Don’t have any concrete evidence for my personal beliefs, but I speculate it might be a fitting to a lamp, or possibly an accessory to a hose nozzle. (Maybe some sort of plumbing piece)

I’m sure the good Ol’ boys on here will be more precise. Either way, she must’ve been a screamer. The thrill of the chase.

Maybe, but those soda- acid extinguisher nozzles were typically crimped to the hose rather than threaded.
