You have a valid point about Tesoro not having an iron audio tone to help locate a site. However, once a site is located and you're RELIC hunting a Tesoro or Deeptech will clean a digital detector's plow including the Nox. I can take each one of those targets that you are showing in your video and put something else next to them like a nail, a pull tab or can slaw and then cover it all up and I'll bet the farm that you can't tell me what the hidden targets are with the Nox.

Im not impressed with the deeptech or Tesoro in iron. Its true they will pass a same plane nail test better. Raise the iron above the non ferrous and see what happens.

I showed the Deus and Nox hitting targets in iron elevated test that the VAQUERO couldn't make a peep on. The concentric coil has its advantages and disadvantages...BTW the rutus with a concentric coil hit my dime in iron both ways in my garden and its the only detector to ever do that.

I hear all the hype about the deeptech but dont see many using them...

And for the reason stated above is why that good target will not get dug with a metered machine, because the numbers arenít right..But with a tesoro it would get dug.

OLE DANIEL FROM TN has a testimony over on the other forum that is very contrary to what you wrote here. He was a long time Tesoro user and went back to a site they had beat with his new f75 and found out it wasn't cleaned out as he had thought. Im going to try and find that post.

I suppose because Tesoro was the topic??? I don't think in 20
plus years in this hobby I've ever read a credible evaluation of any detector that recommended to "NOT BUY IT",

Let me get this straight. Out Relic hunting you are saying you need to have and know a different tone for different targets. All the targets you laid out there I would have dug relic hunting with the Deus, Nox800, Deeptech or Tesoros. To many good targets fall over the whole spectrum. TID relic hunting is not needed. If your not digging everything above iron your leaving a lot. Calabash you need to let me know all your pounded sites you have done with the Nox and Deus so I can go behind you. I need some gold coins.

And to add, this is actually a silly discussion...single tone beepers were finding some amazing relics and other finds over the years when most VDI hunters of today were eating a Gerber diet.

That would be extremely upsetting -- to get a new detector and it fails to hit on silver!? OMG.

I did start with a Cibola and found my first seated coin using it, and after awhile I got pretty good at thumbing that disc knob to get a better idea of what was hiding under the beep. But since I got my Deus the Cibola has become a wall-hanger, or at best a loaner to a newly interested friend.

I do think theres something to be said for "digging it all" and still practice that methodology most days, even with the deus. Yes it is nice to have available all the information provided by these fancy digital detectors. But as we all know, just because it sounds like a pull-tab doesn't mean it is.

Not everybody relic hunts.....I do relic hunt and I aint using no Tesoro. While your trying to figure out where the iron is and all that jive im going to be digging relics from it because my machine has already told where its at.

WHATS FUNNY is this you guys act like just because a Tesoro is a beep and dig machine its SEEING everything . Is that the case?

Your basically hunting blind with a Tesoro and that's the bottom line.
