Default Possible gun

Hi All - I started going through my bucket of finds from previous years and found these. Could this be part of a gun? Not sure what these other parts are - any ideas? Penny for size. Thank you!

Close. It's actually a broken mule shoe, and it still has a broken off nail head stuck in it.
