Got out for a short hunt after work and my first target out of the gate (my truck) was this 1948 Quarter Rupee from Pakistan. A few things have me scratching my head. This coin is the exact size of a penny (diameter and thickness) and it's made from nickel, but it rang up 84 on the VDI of my F70. I can't figure out why I'd get that high of a reading on the VDI. Also, that reading was when it was in the ground (six inches deep) but once I retrieved the coin I laid it on top of the grass and swung my coil over it and couldn't get a beep at all from my rig. I also was able to find a metallic golfing tee.

That's a different find! Bruin, did you scan the hole again after you pulled out the coin?
