Found this very small token at a street tearout in the old dirt. I have no idea what it is. Any help is appreciated. As a side note - I will be posting the other coin finds once the tearout is completed!
One side of this token has a $ symbol and the other - as best I can tell - has the head of a goat or sheep I think. It is very small and came up on the DFX as a 10 VDI. It is about as thick as an Indian Head Cent.
The time period of coins coming out of this dirt range from 1840 - 1903 to give you an idea of the possible age.
