I just dug this copper along with a few others today. This one has me stumped is pretty worn but still has some details. The bust is facing right and I think I can see the roman numerals II to the right. So that makes it a King George 2 the problem is the back. It definitely has a crown on the top of it but I can't make out anything else. I know Hibernias are KG3s and face right. So did I just bucket lister something or do Hibernias also face left ?

I'm seeing Rosa Americana as well. If so, nice find! Can you give us a pic with a ruler straight across the diameter, or tell us the diameter?

I dont think it's a rosa Americana, the details just dont line up. I was thinking a Virginia halfpenny, but yours appears to have a left facing bust. I also think I can see two roman numerals at about 2 o'clock on the bust side, making it a KG2 possibly, which would rule out the Virginia halfpenny, as those were featured with KG3 on them. Nice find, hopefully someone can get a positive ID on it!
