I don't get many intact bottle finds, as the ground is solid here, with many exposed rocks. This one was no exception, as it had a small hole punched in the backside. Still thought it was a cool find though, and closest thing to a whole bottle I can find out here..... . Late 1800's to early/mid 1900's. Probably in the 1890-1910 range for this one, when they place I hunt was populated.

Makes you wonder how if compares to today's chili. I'm willing to bet it was much better then anything you pull off the shelf at Wally World now.

Betcha them old chili powders had some kick to it. I think the manufactures nowadays toned the heat down as most people can't tolerate the heat.

Cool bottle and neat you found the ad for it

I have GOT to find some older spots some day, taking a beating at the tot-lots lately.

Get a gold machine..... you live in PLACER CO!!!!! ;)

I may try my new Pro Pointer AT and snorkel this summer in the rivers.

Someday maybe get more into prospecting. I would rather find some old saw mills or mining camps, stage coach stops/routes and railroad depots on public land to detect. Another someday item.
