Coin Roll Success!! Half Dolllar

This coin roll searching is great! I can do it when the weather is crummy like today. I took $30 to the bank and asked the teller if she had any hand-rolled half dollars. She said she had 5 rolls. So, I bought 3 rolls and explained what I was doing. She offered to help go through them. When the first three were all glad, we re-rolled them and switched them for the last two. Sure enough BINGO!!! a real nice 1966! I then took 2 rolls of Quarter and two rolls of dimes home with no luck. The teller said she had a bunch more in the back, so I'm heading back to the bank later. Total time was about 5 mins. Easy silver!

I would not have said anything to the teller. Around here, the banks go through the halves as soon as they get them.

A lot of banks do not allow their employees to roll hunt because it interferes with the banking system.

congrats on the coin. I just wanted to make sure you know that its only 40% silver. its in great condition though. I have a kennedy half dollar collection.

Yep only 1964 is 90%...
