I used to have an mxt. Too chattery for my taste. I am partial to whites. Coin/jewelry, at parks, schools, etc will be my main focus. I used to want an m6 because it seems to be powerful yet simple. I don't want a big learning curve. Is the new m7 an option? Budget: $500-$600.

I have an M6 and I absolutely love it for coin shooting! Not much of a learning curve at all if you ask me. Also the pinpoint is spot on for depth. Something that even my F75 can't do as good.

I've seen the MX7 used for $399. White's video has air test on quarter MXT 10.5", MX5 11.5" and MX Sport 12.5" with much less noise. I think the MX7 has same depth ability as MX Sport. Some don't like the MX7 but have been vague as to reason(s). The MX Sport can go under water but the MX7 is water resistant, meaning OK to use while raining.
