5 boxes and one 40%er showed up in the last few rolls of box 4....that's how dry the silver river has gotten here in central Arkansas.

No dancing in the castle this week, but KT did score a plethora of NIFCs and a decent 71 proof...another one of the grease-filled die errors also...and box 4 had the indignity to cough up a quarter and a dime! that was an automatic 65 cent loss! LOL KT remains optimistic tho...Christmas is coming!

Happy Thanksgiving to all MDing Knights in His Majesty's Royal Realm!

Anywho enjoy the few pics.

Sorry to hear about the lone silver, but like they say.....if it was easy, everybody would be doing it. Good luck next week. : )

Man, I never knew just how ugly the new coins are. Look at the 20xx vs the 1971 and John Kennedy looked like himself on the 1971 but the 20xx it doesn't look like him at all (last picture with the quarter and the dime).

Is that just shadows playing tricks or is that what it looks like? Almost looks fake.

No trick...the die had grease filling it and it lost most of the rim details. It is a 2005 but you cannot see the 05 without rotating it in the light, the imprint is so faint. The 71 on the left is a proof, although in KT's pic it is hard to see the S mint mark.

KT thinks the quality control on the later Kens is very poor since these do not go into general circulation. Just wonders when the US Mint is going to stop minting half dollars altogether.?.
