Patriotic shield

Any idea what this is? Size of a dime, has a patriotic shield on it. Looks to have a screw back with a square steel but.

Not sure but something about that reminds me of railroads. The lower part looks a lot like the cow catcher at the bottom front of early steam locomotives. In fact I did research union Pacific logos and they were very similar they don't have the angular lines at top but more curvey. U. P. ones do have that horizontal lines goind across the top also.

That is very possible because I also found 2 train buttons near where I found this...
