I can’t identify this coin

Found on a beach in the carbbean. It is slightly lighter than, and slightly smaller than a quarter. It is definitely not a quarter. All i can make out is a linear pattern of small dashes along the circumference of the face near the edge and some sort of linear wave on the face. Its copper in color and has what looks like some white oxidation.

My guess is some foreign currency.

2 cent carribean

they have those denticles surrounding the coin. A good example will fetch 2 cents in Nassau.
