Interesting Iron...

I was hunting a farm field a couple days ago that has solid history as a former town/train station/industry site from at least 1886, and probably well before. Not entirely sure when the town disappeared, but the land has been in the current owner's family as a working farm for at least 70-80 years. During the hunt, I ran across a couple interesting iron objects that I was hoping to get some suggestions about.

The dagger looking object was hard to miss, right on the surface! It's about 9" inches long, and 3/4" thick, so it's quite heavy. The pointy end seems to have an intentional tapered curve to it that's apparent in one of the pictures. Also, on only one side, aligned with the middle spikes, there appears to be a circular indentation that is too symmetrically placed to be random. The best I've been able to figure is that maybe it was a pin for rail car or wagon coupler? Something about it looks so darned familiar, yet I can't find a match for it in any of my sources :?:

The other item is about 5.5" long, and also 3/4" thick. Might be a wedge or chisel? But I'm curious about the odd but clearly intentional notch at the "top".

Any ideas??

Thanks so much, worm12ga! I’m pretty sure you nailed it on the sickle bar mower for the dagger-looking thing. I did a quick google search using that suggestion, and turned up several hits that look similar. It sure looks like a sickle bar mower tooth to me:

The other item is a little more non-descript, so a positive ID is probably less likely, but a chisel plow tooth certainly seems reasonable. Thanks for the great suggestions!
