Michigan Quarantine General Order

Michigan also has suspended all empty can refunds!! Yet they are still charging a dime per can on top of the purchase price though! Go find all the empty ditch cans you want, you just cant REDEEM them and get your dime back!

This is gonna destroy the subsistence hunter Cannie population! I dont know if Cannies qualify for any kind of Govt money or how you would get it to them if they did? Hell, most of them live under bridges...

It was a good deal here for everybody!....A Cannie could find enough cans to fulfill his daily sustenence needs of smokes and beer without resorting to begging or stealing...The area was cleaned up, they got good exersize riding bicycles around every morning finding cans and redeeming them at the stores and purchasing daily needs...it was a well balanced little economy..Everybody was happy....

Cannies will become extinct in the State of Michigan this season, the whole damn deal is simply awful...Whats next? Coinstar moratorium? You can see we are going cashless through this! At least gas is a buck fitty and a guy can buy a brand new Jeep with no money down and 84 mo. 0% financing!

Mud, that happened here in Iowa three weeks ago. I did notice that the panhandlers are still out around the local shopping mall.

There was a short-lived rumor floating around that our governor was ordering a category of stores closed that would have included the local Menard's and Home Depot. That sure would have stifled all the folks furloughed from their jobs, and using the time for home improvement.
As it was, she ordered furniture stores closed, but not appliance outlets.

I'd be interested in hearing how they plan to enforce it. IF a citation can be issued, whom would they issue it to? Both, (or all) parties? It would be kind of hard to prove who performed the infraction.
Example; TEOTWAWKI12 could be out detecting, minding his own business, well off the normal traffic route. Some Yahoo that doesn't know any better slides up within the recommended 6 feet and just has to start asking questions about what he's doing, what he's finding, etc., etc. Some LEO drives by and decides to make an example of somebody, but he didn't see the actual events of the infraction. How will it be rightfully enforced? Does the innocent party have to retreat from the culprit in order to maintain the "social distance"? Does a "stand your ground" law apply? Can an individual reasonably argue that there was an assault with a deadly weapon (weapon of mass destruction?) on the part of the perpetrator?

All interesting questions.

Roger

Great post! You sound like a lawyer!
