Congratulations on a good looking coin! I'm in the Piedmont area of NC to the east of you. The two IHPs I've found here are nowhere near that condition. The red clay is tough on coppers.
 
Nice - My experience is that once you find one Indian and learn that sound, you'll find many more.

Congratulations. If you don’t dig all zinc pennies and beaver tail pull tabs you will miss a lot of Indians. When I started digging those signals my Indian count went way up.
