I've been working on a DIY detector built entirely from spare parts or things I could get for free, combining a few designs online with my own improvements. Decided to build a wood body for it. I still need to finish the phone app that handles the DSP:

Whoah! That's some nice woodworking! I bet that would be a big hit at any metal detecting gatherings.
