Hello everyone, I was wondering if anybody has ever found anything similar to these, or might have a guess on what they are.

Please use the maple tree seed / helicopter for scale (sorry, didn’t know I would be posting these).

I found these in an area where an 1800s church once stood, and they are cast iron.

The cleats on them look like they hooked into something else (?).

Any opinions are appreciated. Thank you.

Just a wild guess, but it looks like something that would go on an antique wood stove. More decorative than functional.

I've seen decorative casting like that around lights.

You folks are brilliant. I did a few web searches, and they appear to be ‘arms’ off a cast iron gas chandelier, or wall lamp.

I had them upside-down in the photos apparently.

Thank you so much!
