Coin ID Help

This was not a detector find. It was in a group of coins from my grandmother. Can anyone ID it?

Looks like it. This isn't a recent striking though. I've had it since the late 1950's and it was in this condition then. It obviously has some wear so it's definitely older than that.

This made me smile Cliff.

"Because these coins have been issued over and over again since 1780 by dozens of different mints around the world, they are worth only their value in silver bullion. The date says 1780, but, if you have one, it could have been minted last week".
 
I have a large bag of older foreign coins from my grandmother. I have no idea how or where she got them or any history of them. I need to go through them someday and try to identify them. My fortune my be in that bag. [emoji23]

She also gave me a bunch of old U.S. coins including about 30 silver dollars from the 1800's to early 1900's along with most other denominations. .
