Permission anxiety

Got permission to hunt a house built around 1910 in an early Oregon town. It's killing me waiting for the call to come out and hunt (weather and virus delays). Gonna hunt a local city park in the meantime with a house on the property that's in the National Register of Historic Places. There's a fence around it while they restore it - how close should I risk getting to it? It's legal to hunt city parks here.

Public park. You're the public go hunt.
Check park rules and regulations online.
Stay outside the fence. Ask the restoration crew for contact information for permission.

Or just say Tom said it was ok :laughing:

I own all the old-town demolition scrape sites in the entire USA. And as such, I never hesitate to hit any of them that I come to.

First off, just based on my own personal experience, NEVER rely on a phone for permissions. What's in it for them to call you back? I've found it's an easy way for people to say "no", without saying it. Make 'em look you in the eye.

Secondly, is the house still occupied? If so, then I'd just wait it out until the restoration is complete, then just show up. They said it was ok after all. If they're still there I'd knock to announce my presence, out of respect.
