I've been interested in foraging for morels for years. I love mushrooms. Even though I've spent plenty of time reading about them and what to look out for to avoid getting poisoned, I'd still prefer to go out with an experienced guide.

When I see the examples of the mushrooms that can be confused with morels I always think the differences are pretty obvious. But, I guess there are some morels in the wild that aren't so textbook, so sticking with the "textbook" morels seems like a good strategy.

I think the difference is pretty obvious as well, i only stay away from the ones that look like brains lol
 
Coming into season here too! I have a close friend that just sent me this picture yesterday!
