I went back to the yard that I found a pair of key date barbers yesterday and dug all the lower tone and odd sounding signals that were left. Lots of foil, a few rotten zincs, and small whatsits. Was hoping to find an old gold ring or something! Did manage to dig a few more wheats, a no date buffalo and a '43 war nickel. Silver #56. A twentysomething walked by and asked what I had found. I showed him the buffalo nickel and he was really impressed. I told him he could have it. He was genuinely grateful and couldn't believe I would just give it to him. I told him it wasn't worth anything more than 5 cents and he said, "sometimes the coolest shhit ain't worth anything" He's right.
