I hunted a curb strip in town yesterday for about 3 hours and dug 4 IH pennies a Rosie, and 3 Wheaties. I have never found more than one IH in one hunt, but 4 was just crazy. The curb strip was only about 3 to 4 foot wide and I hunted about three blocks. I think I am going to start digging all pennies again instead of digging just silver signals.

With four Indians - all turn-of-the-century or older, a silver dime, and three wheaties, I'd say you had a great hunt! :clapping:

Not only silver signals

Only digging silver signals?? Now you see why you need to dig those pennies!

I didn't mean I don't ever dig pennies, it is a guessing game though. I have a gozillian pennies in a bucket in the garage but on a curb strip hunt I dig them. Shallow Penney signals at a school yard not so much. Best rule of thumb for me is dig everything that gives a good repeat signal. You just never know what you might miss out on if you don't. :D
