I found 57 tokens at a place a few weeks ago. It looked like someone lost their token collection. I went back yesterday to dig the rest and I simply couldn't do it. There were too many tokens! I dug several hundred and then went back to detecting the rest of the yard, found a few clad coins and a 1946 Rosie.

When I started cleaning and going through the tokens I found a very cool coin, an 1895 Hungarian 2 filler coin! My oldest foreign coin.

crazy ! I wonder what the reason, for all the tokens in a single place is ?

This has to be someone's collection. This is on the back of a church property and it is where a mobile home once stood. I have been told it was used as an office and for church purposes and not a residence. I believe it due to the low to moderate level of trash. I think someone stashed their token collection here, probably in the 1980s and never came back for it. They are dispersed over a fairly large area, from the surface to about 4" in depth but there are so many I had my metal detector turned off most of the time. There are quite a few duplicate tokens in the mix and a big variety.

I think the Hungarian coin is cool and will have to go back and see what other interesting items this person collected and lost. Definitely an "interesting" site.

Congrats on the Rosie and mega token haul. Very cool find, Definitely someone's collection for sure. Sweet old Hungarian coin as well, Will be interesting to see what else that site gives up. Good luck, Mark

i would pitch a tent! goodness i love tokens and have found just a handfull but they are awesome. i have found my share of modern no cash value junk and a local retro arcade but those old ones are awesome. the adults only-- lolololol... omg. would love to find one for laughs at my age...

go get'um!

Is it possible that those tokens were tossed in the church collection plate on a Sunday, and just thrown in a bag? (couldn't spend'em or take to the bank) when the church was no longer used and the place cleaned out, they were simply tossed out? until you found them
