Slowly but surely we are drifting into winter with the nights drawing in and darkness just after 6pm.

The fields are now rapidly going out of bounds with them being seeded with next years crops.

I am lucky to have some farms which are mixed farming which gives me the opportunity to search grass fields over the wintertime.

Thanks for looking.....Doug.

Top finds as always Doug.
Dark up here around 7.30 and farm machinery everywhere getting stuff down for next year.
Added to that its been raining a lot and things are a tad difficult.
Wellie boots end up weighing about 100 lbs each after 3 steps !!
My purple patch is over...im back to wire, tins, ring pulls and lead, i really am begining not to like lead its all over the place !!

Looks like a very enjoyable few hours detecting....Luckily a fair amount of my local permissions are pasture, so I still have quite a few places to detect over winter...Sadly they tend not to be as productive as the arable low land in Shropshire but such is life...

So cool to see objects that have been in the ground for hundreds of years. Congrats.
