In the second picture, what is the thing that looks like a bishop?

ncwayne 01-10-2017 01:40 PM

not sure, Ace400. Shaped like head found on a harness hame, but smaller. Thinking it may be top to a flag staff. Just a guess.

Now that's exactly the stuff I'm getting at. Goodness sakes friend what a haul. There's some really beautiful Confederate relics buddy. Is brass the only thing you found? Man you had to dig some lead. Very nice buddy. That's what my dreams look like lol. HH

Its a thing that goes on the horns of oxen. I find them in farm fields alot. They'd start with a threaded ball and use this type as they get bigger horns.

This one seems way too small for that and it had shards of wood in it.

Super finds! Congratulations.

Bespride 01-13-2017 02:05 PM

Hey Wayne have you found any colonial relics down in your neck of the woods?
I know there was some Regulator activity close by.
