I am rather optimistic. Would like to adjust my relic tones on my XP2 to have a distinct tone on civil war belt buckles.
Any know what they ring up or have a XP2 and CW belt buckle to get the TID?

No idea on the TID but I'd look for numbers over 70 with a size appropriate signal. You might get some junk along the way but if you're in an area that might have some, they'll show up. Good luck.

All I can tell you is that when I found mine a few years ago, I was certain it was going to be an aluminum can. Size, tone, TID all told me Aluminum Can. Lucky I didn't stab it with my hand digger. If you really want it, I can take it out and scan it with my D2 on the program you like to let you know what it tells me.

For quite a few years I hunted with a machine that didn't have a meter. When I would find a plate it would just be a very strong, solid reading. With the front being brass it would really ring out. But if a plate is laying on it's side, the reading will still be solid, but more like finding a bullet or a coin. Then, when a plate happens to be very deep, it will usually ring out like a bullet. All this just means, there really isn't a way to identify the target as a plate. And then remember, different machines will have a slightly different tone and the meter readings would vary from machine to machine. So it still gets back to just dig all good targets and hope the relic gods are smiling on you.

Going to be around 92 depending on depth and program and soil. Within a few ticks of a large cent tid.
