Who is your favorite youtube metal detecting personality?

Yup GMMD Brad is a great watch

Brad of GMMD is great, but he does a couple of things that annoy me. His video titles almost always have "treasure" or "treasure hunter" in them, which comes across as clickbait to me. He's also into slow-motion clips, which seems very silly to me. Metal detecting is hardly a fast paced activity! No need to slow down the action.

I enjoy this guy’s videos, Scuba in the rivers and lakes around me.

I'm a big fan of Mokpot's videos! He inspired me and my buddy to get into the water. Hoping to get some decent water videos posted next summer.

I also enjoy Quarter Hoarder's videos. Jason has a great area to hunt in, and a great personality.

I miss Deep Digger Dan's detecting videos, but I understand and agree that his physical health is more important than detecting. Yikes, I hope I never have to give up this hobby!

I've been watching Hoover boys a lot lately. They react to 1700s coins like I do to.... Coins.

How he can recognize so many of those coins almost right away it's stunning.

More stunning is the amount of stuff they find.

To be honest, I watch very few videos these days...As a Brit, I don't really connect with most of the American ones (no offence meant) and with the British ones, many seem to find fantastic finds every other sweep of the detector which is not at all like the detecting my friends and I do..

On top of that, many of the Brit video's show little detecting, just a series of "finds", possibly with a hole in the background.

Finally there are some "personalities" which are just irritating to the point you want to beat them with their spade and bury them in one of the holes they have just dug..."Digger Dawn" and "West Country Cleg" are two that spring to mind but there are others...

Some videos are just silly. Someone finds a good coin or relic and you see 5 people all taking videos simultaneously! Talk about overkill! Lol!

I'm in the States and I agree with everything you wrote.

The Hoover Boys are the ones that introduced me to metal detecting, otherwise I might not be here. Otherwise, Square Nail Squirrel is excellent and I really enjoy his filming style and the way he shows all of the VMIs for his targets.

Big fan of the Hoover Boys. Kurt is pretty sharp when it comes to identifying the finds and like how they always have a lot of fun together. It made me feel a little better about accidentally hitting something in the hole after watching Brad do it so much .LOL. Bobby and Billy are funny too. Would like to hunt with them one day.

Down South Detecting
Detector Ben
Digging the Midwest

Prefer to watch the ones from my region.

Some others I enjoy:
Pulltab Relics
The Shredded Aluminum Can Hour
Iron Falseing is my life
Why can't I pinpoint this
and Dang, I forgot batteries

Those are some of the more unheralded channels
