Hit a beach today that had some rocky spots. One area was seeded with pennies, literally hundreds of pennies in one small area. I wanted to know what they were hiding, so I notched out pennies and gridded the area hard. Unfortunately, I didn't find any gold... but I did find something that tripped me out. Found 2 silver rings about 20 feet apart that are nearly identical, except one looks like it was lost yesterday, and the other is super tarnished and looks like it has been under the sand for years. What are the odds of that one?..

Thanks for looking!

Thats pretty odd Crumble.

about four years ago, I found two hefty and identical silver men’s rings within 30 minutes. Though I dug both out of the wet sand, I had to check my finds bag to make sure I didn’t drop it and was digging the same target.

why would you cancell pennys ????????
10k gold will come up as a penny not to smart
i dug a 35 gram 10k gold chain years ago came up a penny

I normally don't, but someone seeded the beach with pennies. Literally every swing of the coil there were multiple pennies. I even dug up a few partial rolls of pennies still in the wrapper...

Sounds like somebody was mad at detectorists and wanted to tick them off with all the pennies. Maybe some guy trying to protect "his" turf?

Pretty wild on the rings. How about the girl that lost the old one liked it so much she bought another one just like it and then lost that one too at her favorite beach spot? Nah......

Yeah someone was trying to hide something, either near/under the pennies to get you frustrated or away from them to distract you from their special spot

On the other hand, money is money, if they want to through it away you should dig it up and keep it

When hunting a certain beach a few years ago, a homeowner would throw pennies in the water to keep us from hunting in front of his house where we found gold and silver... its not like he had a detector... so we would dig them and then thrown them on his patio and lawn
