Many moons ago I'm on a ladder replacing some roof eaves on the front of a house. At the property line next door on the side walk , 2 little kids , a boy & girl about 7 or 8 have a small lemonade stand set up. Directly behind them are some tall bushes. I happen to see the boy grab the pitcher of lemonade , sneak 5' between the bushes behind them.....and he was peeing into the lemonade ! I climbed off the ladder , grabbed the pitcher and dumped it out. Knocked on the door and told the Mom what I had seen. She came out and they packed everything up and went inside. Idk what happened after that cause it was all quiet as I then went back to finish my job.

Sadly , because of this lemonade piss fest , I've never bought anything from another pop-up stand from little kids again. And never will...

I do the yard sale routes and see kids selling lemonade i hand them a couple bucks and tell them appreciate the work motivation. Can't drink their lemonade due to my diet. Lol

But #3 you need to work on. The odds are that they'll only take a bit or two then swim away. We have big hard bones and they don't want to break any teeth on us.

Notice the direction the Grizzly started running toward in the first few seconds of the video. You'll see our guide drop his camera and start to move back while having a small code brown moment.

You must have a Bear Death Wish BS. Like Timothy Treadwell who in 2003 , along with his GF were attacked and partially eaten in their tent. Nut job did it for 13+ yrs. Documentary was even made , "Grizzly Man" I think it's called. Actual footage is graphic. The sounds of him being eaten alive....

Yes, he was a nut job. The night he was killed they had pitched their tent right in the middle of one of the main bear trails rather than away from the main traffic area. He was waaay out there on another planet. I'm nowhere near that nuts. I do push it a little from time to time but I ALWAYS give them their space and respect.

Two nights ago we had a big sow we named "Honey" in our front yard eating more bird seed. It was hotter than hell out still and she was panting heavily from the heat. I walked out on the porch to watch her, like I have many many times, but this time she charged me twice. I figured the heat was making her grumpy so I backed off and went in the house.

Just wondering, what are your thoughts on this, but to my eyes, it didn't look like the bear was making a full bluff charge, just looks like he/she may have started to bluff, but the guide stood his ground, backed up slowly. Just thinking the bear noticed he didn't run like prey, so decided to do something different and ran into the water.

Just wondering if that guide had turned and ran, if the Grizz would have continued running in his direction, thinking he might be prey. Thoughts?

No, she wasn't charging at all. She just changed her direction briefly as she was running back up the beach chasing salmon. She ran past us a few times and could care less about us.

Our guide told us two weeks before a woman got mowed over by another bear and bruised her up pretty good. She didn't listen to him when she was told to move back away from the water edge. Sure enough, a bear came running up the edge and plowed her over and didn't miss a beat.

Catching Salmon is all that is in their minds other than the sows watching for any bores that might get too close to their cubs. One cub was killed and eaten a few days before we arrived. It happened right in front of a group of photographers.

There is no way in hell the guide would have turned to run away. That is like ringing the dinner bell and would be a death sentence. As long as you don't make sudden movements, run or get to close to their cubs, they are fine with people around.

The Russian river area that we hiked on our own with no one else around is a completely different story. You stay well away from the Grizzlies there. We stayed back about 100 yards from the bear we stalked up the river. They are hunted there and have no love for humans.

If she was hot & grumpy, maybe would have been a good idea to take a garden hose and shoot some water near her to drink, or maybe shoot some water on her to cool her down.

Spraying a bear with water is not a good idea. But you're more than welcome to come on down and give it a try. Just let me get my camera ready before you do. I love taking action shots.

I saw this morning a guy with 2 brown bears swimming right behind him and eating I think fish. Guy was like you spending alot of time with bears and knows their traits. It was cool to watch.
