Stan are you actually going to set there with a straight face and tell us all that missing TIDs is not a issue or target IDs jumping all over the place, is not an issue, brother let me tell you something you need to up your standards a few bars higher, personally for me those two things are a big issue, especially detecting in parks.
A detector for detecting in Parks is where you would want really stable IDs, at least in my mind I would want to use a detector that had accurate IDs.
I have not seen one video yet where the TIDs were being showed that those TIDs were not jumping all over the place, if you can live with them being that way that's great but for me personally that's not so great at all, and for me personally the Vortex issues have been a huge let down, simply because I actually wanted a Vortex, but I expected a better Vortex than what has been presented to all of us.
Garrett would have been better off with just having the three tiered bars and absolutely no Target IDs at all in my opinion, for someone that relies on TIDs to determine whether they dig or do not dig those Jumping TIDs present a huge problem, yes I could have went ahead and followed through with my purchase because I dig by Tones almost 99.9% of the time, but I do still occasionally look at the TIDs when I am unsure of what the tones are actually telling me those unstable TIDs would have driven me nuts
I do hope that with a few more updates Garrett gets things squared away, but I will be honest with you I am not so sure they will and I was unwilling to risk my money just to end up with another detector that would become a wall hanger shortly after getting a Vortex in my hands, maybe 6 months to a year down the road the Vortex will get corrected to where I will want to purchase one again.
