Hi everyone,
I have found some pieces of toy guns on sites dating back to the 1850s and 60s that have had me puzzled as I wasn’t able to find anything similar online.
Yesterday I finally had a bit of a breakthrough as I found a barrel with a name, “Blanchon Paris” it turns out there was a manufacturer of toy cap guns with that name operating in Paris in the 1870s and there was a terrible incident of a large explosion in the factory.
If anyone else has found similar items I would like to see them
