Yesterday KT received in the Royal Courtyard 3 beautiful Walking Liberty halves, bearing well the ravages of time, but worn down and weary of over a century of travels (for two of them) and one very close to that time frame. Despite their wear, their dates are still visible and are 1917S, 1920, and 1927. They simply were looking for a place to rest and enjoy whatever life is granted to them by their Creator. And KT soon determined that they were living history, the oldest having been around during WWI, and all had seen the Roaring 20s, the Great Depression, WWII, Korea, the 60s "free love years", Vietnam, and Iraq and Iran. Once they are recovered from their long travels, what tales they should be able to tell about their journeys! KT welcomed them to stay as long as they wished, and their attitudes changed immediately from being considered "junk" by some, to that of pride in their battle scars. As their photo was taken, they assumed the pose of all quality Walkers, and were most pleased to hear that their picture would be seen far and wide in the Friendly Forum!

Enjoy these sweet ladies!

It seems a trend for people to arrive at the Castle in threes nowadays!:grin::grin:

Today when returning from His Royal Lunch, KT spotted 3 Bens awaiting outside the Castle Gate, being closely watched by the Royal Guard. After quickly speaking to them, His Majesty informed the Royal Guard to take them to the Outer Courtyard where they would await KT's arrival. After taking care of some Royal Business, KT went out to meet them. We sat in the shade of one of the large trees and they informed me that they were 3 retired musicians; the older of the brothers was 72 and he had heard of KT's appreciation of music. The oldest was a violinist, and one of his younger twin brothers was a flautist. The other twin had mastered several instruments but was partial to brass, particularly the trumpet, coronet and bugle. KT invited them to stay and form the core of a Royal Ensemble. His Majesty expects that as soon as other musicians in the Royal Realm hear of them and KT's sponsorship, we might have many more appear, to complete this group. 🎷🎺🪗🎸🪕🎻:violin:

KT is a Royal Sponsor of the Arts in the Royal Realm!

About this time the Royal Photographer stopped by, gathered them up and took them to his studio for a group picture! The family resemblance is remarkable!

Some would say worn down, others may say a lifetime of experience. Bens are looking nice and shiny! Seems the kingdom just keeps getting bigger, probably a beautiful site to see.

Ever CRH anymore? Or did your banks shut down the spigot?
