Beautiful day to be out detecting today. Mid-50s with a crystal blue sky. The buttons are exciting to find because there is an instant you think you have scored a coin. One is a Best Quality Scoville and it even has a nice smooth texture. I dug up so many old iron nails just to make certain that I am not missing good targets.

Time to start building up the silver collection. I recently sent in all of my Barbers, Mercs, Rosies, GWs for melt. After spending most of my time hunting colonial sites, it was sure nice to hear the silver ping on the Manticore.

I just got my County Metal Detecting Permit so I will be hitting up some beaches and colonial sites in the county park system that have given me Draped Bust Cents and more recent silver. Haven't been to these sites in three years so I'm looking forward to the change up in locations.
