Hit the beach this morning and targets were very few at best. I did happen to dig an Oura ring4 in the wave wash. It appears to be in pretty good condition-no gouges or scratches however it doesn't light up or anything. It needs a special charger which I don't feel it's worth my while to buy. Ebay has a bunch of these used for sale but they work and come with a charger. I did find one a while ago and contacted the company and sent it in but never heard back about anything regarding a return to owner or if they just trashed it. I know with Felix's help I've sold Iphones with the title of parts only but was wondering if anyone had any ideas. Thanks

I was given one found by a member here kansa54, and took the chance and got a charger. Works great. I use it to monitor my heart rate and sleep. It is an Orua 4 as well.

Did the same as Cfmct. Found one, wasn't gold or silver, didn't know what the heck it was so tossed it. I rarely keep anything tech related anyways.

I really like mine. It can tell me what this old body is doing. If I feel SHB (short of breath) I can look and see if it is heart or lungs related. If my heart rate is in the 120s, then I need to rest. If my O2 is below 90%, I just need to slow down.

My wife has one and likes it. I prefer more data which I can get with most Garmin monitors such as the Forerunner. You could probably find someone in your area to charge it and see if it turns on at least.

I'm not so well off that I just throw $350 in the trash lol.

Most of the gold rings I've found have a melt value less than $300

I found one last year and got a nonbrand charger for it for around $30 and sold the ring and charger on FB Marketplace for $150. Then the guy called me a week later asking if I had the receipt because he lost it already and Oura told him if he had a receipt the would send him a new one,,,,,,you have to get the correct size charge and the size is written inside the ring,,,,,they size differently than regular rings,,,,,gl hh

Mine is a size 9, and I wear a 10, so I use a rubber O-Ring to keep it from coming off while I'm recovering a target. I had to buy a generic size 9 charger, also. Took a chance, but it charges up and works great.

The OURA 4 has the full spectrum of features. From Blood Pressure to AI health support. I can't think of any feature it doesn't have that others do. I mainly monitor my O2 (oxygen saturation) for my COPD, and my heart rate because I'm old LOL. I know the device isn't 100% accurate or medical grade, but it works well to tell me what my body is doing.

It's kind of neat. On cold days, I walk the inside perimeter of my house for exercise. The ring sees that I am walking the same GPS location, and after a few times, it will pop up on my smart watch and ask me if I'm doing an indoor walk. I answer yes, and it adds it to my daily routine for that day. Then, for some reason, something goes whacky with my body, it will remember my walking and suggest I may have overdone it the day before. It will tell me things like it notices my heart rate lowered late last night, which means my body could be fighting off an infection, and to take it easy today.

I don't feel for you... you have those nice muscle cars that are worth a lot more than a cheesy looking ring.
I wish I still had those cars. That was when I was working. I had to sell them all, all my expensive guitars and metal detectors, just to keep the wife and me in a home after I was put on social security. It was a messed-up process, believe me. At first, I was making just over $1,400 a month for the wife & I to live on. The problem was I was still paying on a house loan and a car loan. Sucked me dry, and then some.

I went from debt-free and having every toy I could want, to bankrupcy is 2 years. Thank you, COVID.

I think there are a lot of people suffering with high prices, I can't believe how much I have put out this winter for heating oil, it got up to over $4 a gallon but right now its dropping last I looked on cashforoil in CT it was $3.45 a town just south of me by 8 miles they were charging over $5 a gallon for heating oil... fill the tank with 330 gallo ns in the cold we had it was lasting less than 2 weeks. I was reading in extreme cold a full tank can last only a week, I turned down the thermostat to 64 wife didn't like it but I didn't like putting so much money out for the oil... I said use an extra blanket. Up until yesterday temps in state were the 3rd coldest all time.

I just hope this weeks snow will start to fade away that way when a storm comes it won't have all that cold stuff on the ground helping keep us colder than normal. Tomorrow supposed to get some rain, I'm looking forward to it, I had to make paths all over back yard for my lab she was having a difficult time doing what she had to do outside.
