Thinking about pulling the trigger on a 13"x11" coil for my Deus 2. Currently, I have the 9" which works great. Is there that much depth gain to make it worth $399 in your opinion?

Thanks

I have it and think its worth it. I bought it mainly for coverage in open areas, which for me is worth the $399. But I definitely think its deeper, especially on smaller targets. I have all 3 coils and the 13x11 is becoming my "go to" coil.

How much heavier is it than the stock 9" coil? Does it make the d2 seem out of balance? If I ever got one, I'd probably only ever use it at the beach, and my beach hunts are pretty infrequent these days.

The Deus II using the stock shaft is noticeably out of balance with the 9” coil. I can’t imagine how bad it is with the 11” x 13”.

You only live once, that's why I also bought the 11x13 along with the 9. Plus I hunt open fields.

I don’t notice the above at all, the 9” coil on the stock shaft is the lightest most balanced machine I’ve used yet. The 13” coil absolutely makes it nose heavy though, which I’d have to think would make sense. The outright performance negates any negative effect of weight though for me.

Does it work on the XP ORX also?

Below are the weights for each coil as listed in the manual. You will notice the weight difference on the 13x11 but I don't have any issues with it. If it feels too out of balance, then the shaft is probably extended too long. I shorten the shaft about an inch when using the 13x11 and it makes a big difference. Overall, I think the 13x11 is an excellent coil.

9" - 345g
11" - 470g
13x11" - 570g
