It's a good day detecting when you find gold.

This registered as an 18 on my Legend. 999 times out of 1000 that means it's foil. But 1 time in 1000 it's gold. As soon as I turned the spadeful, I knew. LOL, I reached for the camera even before I picked it up.

I glued the Jesus back on after I weighed it.
2.87 grams of 14K gold.

I also found a copper ring, a nice earring, a dog tag, an arcade token, and some dirty money. Coins come out of this field bright red. I hope the pic of the dirty ones shows that.

Very nice gold! I've got a few Idaho towns here that do the same to the coins... brick red color on all the nickels, clad dimes, clad quarters. Silver still comes out sparkling clean.

You have more patience than I do, to be hunting turf soccer fields for gold jewelry ! Congratz.
Well, it's not really a full-time soccer field like most of the rest around here. It's a field where people play sometimes, in a park that's really more about picnics and boating. But of course it was an old farm. So while I was finding change and eventually this thing, I am in my mind, searching the farm. This is the park where I found a Barber dime last year.

I found a crude hand scratched dedication on the back, dated 9/18/03. Of course, that doesn't mean it was lost then. And it's been a park for at least that long.

Congrats on the gold and a decent clad haul. The clad around here comes out red also. Dirt gold is the best and the most elusive for me. Good luck.

Got to love that color!! Very Nice! Religious metals I always make sure they go to friends or even myself, be they gold or junk metals...

Nice piece of gold you got there , along with the other finds . It’s a good feeling to find jewelry . Digging foil is tiresome along with the infamous poptab. Something that has to be done however, to find the gold. Congrats.
