Went over to Western WA to visit inlaws, packed the AT Pro along, and had a chance to detect a couple of days with Buellride (Paul) and Ron, both experienced detectorists. I had gone out a bit on the day before meeting them, did get one yard permission that produced a couple of wheats and a 1964-D Silver Quarter, so not bad.
Met the guys at the designated spot and started in on the curb strips, and later a few yard permissions. The curbs were loaded with modern money, I was pulling clad quarters and dimes all over the place! Paul got on the board with a Silver Washington Quarter, and just before heading home, a clipped Silver Rosie. Ron and I continued to detect, and soon I stumbled into a section of curb that held a 1920 Merc Dime, then a Silver Rosie, a Sterling Ring, then later another Merc Dime, and later yet a flattened Sterling ring w/ Turquoise stone. I think I ended up with about 160 coins for the day, the vast majority being modern shallow targets. Most unusual find for me was a Blackman's Big Upstairs Store / Tacoma Wash. Good for $1.00 off a $10 purchase token.
I met the guys again the next day at the designated street address, and my 2nd coin was a Silver Rosie, 1952-S. A good start! Things cooled off for a while, I did get another Sterling Silver ring from a curb strip. Finally got into a good yard... first target was an old wheat cent spill, next target was a stack of 3 trade tokens from the Olympus Hotel on Pacific Avenue, 5 cents in Trade (Tacoma WA). After some more wheats, I pulled a nice Silver Nickel from near a wheat spill. Also found a nice shape 1907 Indian Head Cent. Other than a 1946 Swedish coin, that was it for me, Ron got a lot of wheat cents, a Buffalo Nickel, and some other neat oddball finds. Paul did well with a Silver Rosie and Sterling Silver ring. While driving out of town, I spotted a juicy looking curb, stopped in for about 15 miutes, and found a small unhunted section that had a couple of wheaties and a 1951-S Silver Quarter!
Totals for the hunts for me were 150+ Copper Memorial Cents, 31 wheat cents, 38 clad quarters, 59 clad dimes, and a few Jefferson Nickels. The Precious came up to 7 silver coins and 3 Sterling rings. Good to get out detecting again, I've not had much time in Idaho, so it was nice to detect with the guys while over in Western WA. Pictures follow, not showing the wheat cents and copper memorials, thank you for your interest!

Big congrats on all of the finds, including the bag 'o clad. I also really liked the rings. Just FYI, I did join Paul for a ride-along the other day, and as he went to get a drink of water, I carefully did a little swinging with his machine, and in the 10 minutes I had it to use I was able to work up a 1953 Rosie! Paul was even kind enough to dig it up for me, because I couldn't. Anyway, I was able to add one more to my shiny total for the year. Hope you have great success back home on your own stomping grounds.
