Rechargable Battery & battery cover/slide

Hi. I'm looking for reputable place for a rechargeable battery for minelab sovereign xs2.
Additionally im after the battery cover slide. It's worn & doesn't hold as the batteries push on a spring on the cover.
I'm sure ive seen l ion battery packs & some people say i can't put 8 x aa L ion batteries in sovereign xs2.

Li ion batteries do come in the aa size on eBay in a pack of 8 with a charger. Just look them up. As for the battery cover, just use the cover you have and some Gorilla tape. just my thoughts.

Thanks for the reply. I'm told that it will have more nominal voltage using lithium ion & putting 8 aa's will damage the machine. I have old sovereign xs-2. My battery compartment won't take the battery packs online. As the ones online have a pin plug.

I can't find any info on any of their sites regarding my digisearch or battery info. Either side of the springs are a bit of solder says(goes to battery ypi can see in pic. ) im thinking its parts for a slightly different model.

No. I have no plug. Only springs. You can make out the springs & 2 bits of solder each corner in the above pic.
