Hey guys, it's been a few years since my last post. Took a 3 year sabbatical from the hobby and just got back into metal detecting 2 months ago.
Top right is a diamond engagement ring set. I found the smaller diamond ring first out in neck deep water and from past experiences I knew to grid the area as it was part of a set. 20 minutes later I found the main ring with a .75 carat main stone.
Top left was yesterday's hunt... after 15 hunts (since finding the chain) without gold I finally scored that 13 gram 18k mens band with diamonds.
Chain was found during the seaweed invasion here in south florida (it hasn't been easy hunting) a few weeks back. I had finished my hunt and was walking out of the water and got the hit. 18k with 4 pendants. The one pendant is an emerald.
The main reason for this post is the 1923 peace silver dollar coin. This is probably one of my top finds to date. I found it today on July 4th of all days lol It was in the high tide low tide line. The question I have is how the heck was it even possible to find something like this... do you think it fell out of a chain or maybe the surf eroded the sand enough in that section to expose something this old? Most all of the finds we get down here are relatively new maybe dating back to the 70's or 80's. This is by far my oldest find to date here in south florida.

Congrats on ALL those fine digs! I had one of those big silver dollars as well. Linesider had also told it may have been a Santeria offering. Hopefully with the demise of the penny they move on to those!
