Today was the second of two trips to my farm permissions. Last week there were two Indian Head Pennies, a 1906 and unreadable plus a pocket knife. Today closer to home, after seeing a new building on a 1958 aerial photo I went back to a farm permission. I didn’t find much on the new building site except an aluminan tag that I’ve yet to identify that reads 144 EXP. 6-30-57 W.VA. And Mail Pouch Tobacco Co. Maybe it was on a crate in a store? I found a round tag that had AT&S FRY and a number, 268. It’s a tag from The Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway. I suppose a luggage tag?? I’ve then found two Indian head pennies an 1881 and a 1904. I also found a flattened penny with the Lords Prayer on it. I can’t tell what penny was used to make it but suspect its old. I also found plenty of iron including an unusual horseshoe and a small pickax. Photos below
