(purely hypothetical) Describe your wannabe/ideal detectors

My wants include
a light weight detector but with a lower leg strong enough to help old knees up off the ground.
a MD that comes out of the truck ready to go [ auto balancing, self-adjusting, etc...]
a MD that will reach down a couple feet.
a MD that can accurately tell what is in the hole, sort alum from gold, etc...
and a coil that can expand or contract to meet my needs that day.

You could avoid the pesky large cents that Tom dislikes.
The only possibility of colonial large cents would be in Savanah, ga. All the rest of the Georgia Cities were established around 1840 or later. I have not heard of any local detectorists showing large cents in their finds. I may be wrong in this but they would certainly be a rare find for this area. Atlanta was founded in 1837 and that is rather late when compared to the NE US cities. 27 years later General Sherman had his troops burn most of Atlanta buildings. Then in 1917 there was a great fire that destroyed 300 acres of a section of Atlanta call the 4th ward. So the results are in Atlanta finding truly old buildings is not so easy. Of course we have tons of modern buildings that are all concrete, stone or steel.
