My hunting buddies and I have cleaned out most of the parks and other city properties in my home town, so I decided to drive a couple counties over and try some parks there. Seems like those haven't been hammered nearly as hard.

Ended up with 10 silvers in the last 7 days. This is from 3 trips to that park, not including the single Merc which came from another lot.

I'm guessing there just isn't as much competition in these smaller towns. I know my area has a LOT of detectorists. Anyway, it's a bit of a drive but at least now I have some new places to detect. Lots of nice looking curb strips in the area too.

Nice productive hunts there. Seems the pickings are getting really thin in our area too. And the dry ground isn't helping either. Good luck!

Nice work Rattle! Congrats! I need to get out, but this heat and our dry clay soil makes for miserable digging. Hoping for rain and better temps soon!

Thanks Jerry! Yeah man same here. Soil conditions are terrible lately. Hopefully we'll get a little rain and a break in the temps soon.

That is some very nice results DeWayne for spreading your wings a bit. New grounds will sometimes provide new opportunities. Congrats on some very nice success. Trapper
Thank you Trapper. Yeah it really is nice to get on some fresh ground. I think I'll go back again tomorrow!
