Possible picnic site

Using Chronicling America I believe I found a local picnic spot. All the dots line up I just hope river flows haven't buried all the goodies. Sometimes it takes reading 20-30 news articles before a location is described. In this one I had read dozens of pages saying the name of the location. Then I found a description south of such and such. I spoke to my detecting partner and he had crashed his car into their fence 30 years ago. Then it was still owned by the same family. Now I have confirmation of family name and location. Time to hit that grove of trees!

I commend you on the research you are doing. To me that is 50% of the hobby of metal detecting. Just going to a site on happenstance and you are lucky enough to find maybe a silver is good. But to take the time to research a place and then make an even better score, PRICELESS! I wish you lots of luck on this hunt.
